Okay, Christine over at Good Company tagged me (us?) for this meme...and being the good sport I am, I of course will participate...but being the rule breaker that I am (and the fact that I'm don't know that many bloggers), I'm not going to tag many people!

My quirks:
1. I eat M&Ms by color order, and I don't eat the blue ones unless I am desperate because I don't like the way they taste (the food coloring gives them an off taste!) My favorite holiday for M&Ms is Halloween, because the brown, orange and yellow don't have an off taste.
2. I listen to Harry Potter audio books virtually every night while I am going to sleep. This started on a car trip when we took some books on tape with us read by someone with a British accent...they put me right to sleep every time we got in the car and turned them on. I really should look for a British rosary or prayer CD instead, but I have to admit, I like the stories...
3. I eat round things (like hamburgers) in a circle, and square things (like sandwiches) in a square.
4. I don't dream in pictures, just sounds.
5. The shampoo bottle MUST be left on the left hand side of the conditioner bottle. I don't care if the current bottle of shampoo is black and the conditioner bottle is white...I generally don't open my eyes in the shower very much (there isn't much point...my vision is bad enough that I can't identify anything with my glasses off...)
6. I have an unnatural love of Alton Brown...or at least that's what hubby says...but honestly, it's just an unnatural love for his program, GOOD EATS. Have you ever seen the potato episode or the grains episode with the stalkerish "biggest fan"? I could be that lady! Speaking of, if you want some beautiful delicious extra chocolaty brownies, go down to my fair post and click on the link. Even hubby had to admit they are awesome.

Majellamom is a city girl turned farm wife, a Catholic convert of 13 years, and homeschooling mom of two adorable girls.
Bret K. is a farmer. Spends most of his time in a feed truck (or loader) listening to talk radio...a political and news junky, he has a college degree in Sociology with Peace and Justice and Philosophy minors. Proud owner of dumb Pug. Also blogs over at Rural Republic.
Eva is 7 and spunky. Too smart for our own good, she loves to dance and sing. She has a tendency to be very serious and very funny almost at the same time.
Charlotte is 5! She wants to be a ballerina and singer. She love princesses, and love to dance, and sing, and talk, talk, talk. Her favorite color is white because it is the color of a wedding dress.
MIL is Bret's mom. She lives a little over a mile away, drives like a maniac, and likes to be involved in everything. She's a great cook and baker, but tells me that she thought you had to fry hamburgers in butter when she got married.
FIL is Bret's dad...and boss...(el jefe) He loves his little granddaughters, and loves to buy cows. Going a little deaf, you can hear his cell phone conversations from 100 feet away.
BIL is Bret's younger brother and works with him and FIL on the farm. He's the mechanically inclined one, and actually went to college to study Ag. He's a couple of years out of college and a couple of years married. Lives about 2 miles from us.
Majellamom has several SILs...
Eldest SIL is two weeks younger than Majellamom and is Bret's first sister. Currently living in the nearest town big enough to have a Wal-Mart, she loves to play with the girls and sometimes gets extremely crafty.
Next SIL recently moved from the west coast to the east coast, but usually comes home to visit a couple of times a year. The girl's love her visits.
Final SIL is married to BIL and works in town. She loves to ride horses, plans to teach the girls to ride someday, and is the person Eva most wants to be like.
Majellamom has family too...just not as much...there's mom and dad, who live in the mountains...mom retired from teaching this year and dad is still driving down the mountain to teach. She also has an older brother, who currently lives in the house she grew up in.

I am having a hard time coming up with quirky behavior that I want to admit to, but here goes.
1. I am super anal about grammar. When someone says "Irregardless," I get an eye twitch.
2.Bumper stickers totally annoy me. The idea that someone's core beliefs and political opinions can be summed up in a catchy slogan frightens me.
3. I'm still a little scared of the basement after dark.
4. I read... a lot. From the time I learned to read, if I have a good book, I can completely ignore everything else.
5. I have a real issue with breaking rules, even stupid ones. I'm a total goody-goody who pretends to be a rebel.
6. When I shower, I have to wash my face, then body, then hair. I cannot do it out of order and if I try, I wind up repeating things because that order is so ingrained.
There, it is done and was only slightly painful.
